// A promise is a promise~!

misahime:

If she be honest, then perhaps more often than not, she cannot read him. His unpredictability though, made him who he was today, and it truly amused her, awed her, and scared her. If she be honest, of course. The unreadable feelings he had towards her, scared her. The genuineness of the unreadable.

There were times she would wonder how honest his feelings were for her. On good days, she’d like to think he was true to her, and that deep inside, deep on the outside too, his feelings wore no mask and love was just at the tip of his tongue whenever she was in his presence. On darker days though, when rain would fall from overcast, grey clouds, she would ponder over the fact that the leeway he had in providing fanservice at every given opportunity, crossed boundaries even to her. And he wouldn’t be faulted for it, because it was part of the no-strings-attached package.

As long as, you know

He didn’t promise anything.

And she was sure, quite sure, he had yet to promise her anything. A clear evidence that behind the aloofness, is a man with a career and a man with a mind of wisdom bought from time. She knew, that he knew what he was doing. At least, when she looked up and into his eyes, pools that contained her reflection (the world), she thought she did. A quick grip of the shoulders as he picked her up and spun her around like a princess, light as feather; she shook her head amusedly at his brightness.

A tug and a step closer, and it became a world for two. His “I love you” sent a flutter in her stomach and a skip of a heartbeat, but it didn’t sink in. They were, after all, just words. And while she didn’t believe the feelings behind them were false, she was afraid to ask, “do you really?” for fear… for fear.

But even if he could lie with a handful of sugarcoated words, he couldn’t lie with his actions.

   His kisses, didn’t lie.

And he stole them like cookies in a jar—tempting, unapologetic, sweet. And the way his hands grazed her skin like silk, affectionate and warm. A different sort of perfection, one that only needed a man and a woman, and.. simplicity. She flushed softly at his bold act, a quick hand rose to her lips when he pulled back.

Rei~ji!” A scold, that seemed to lose much of the effect with her embarrassment, and a quick glance around, “I…” Love you too? Could he feel it.. “We’re kind of, still in public, you know..”

Trying to tug out of his grasp, she decided perhaps, it was time for a change of scenery, lest the tabloids flocked in for real. “I thought we were supposed to have lunch? Or is there another reason why you called me here..?”

- Ah, if only the brunette could read minds, then he would agree to feel the same as his beloved did - he would admit to being unsure how did she feel for him, at times, and if he’d been forceful on her. Of course, that was only, during those rare times, if the serious side of this man was out and for the public - specifically his Venus - to see and appreciate. If only, that is. And whether being unable to know another person’s thoughts is a good or bad thing, things seemed to be best as they were; changes were good at times, but changes also brought consequences along with them.

Would they want change?
Reiji, as far as he himself was concerned, did not want change.

After all, all he desired as of now was his personal goddess; to be with her, to care and comfort, share good and bad experiences (from which only the good would be mentioned and treasured; and from which the bad would be utilized as means of growing as a better person). Naturally, to make her his; in all the ways humanly possible, if her authorization is given. Because, despite his jokes and teasing demeanor, Reiji truly adores this lady - and he would demonstrate it with every chance available; to ensure her how precious her existence truly is.

With surprise kisses and embraces; and words that carried nothing but pure truth.

Brown orbs caught her reaction, catching a perfect view of her reddened expression and he couldn’t help but laugh in sheer adoration at her. She really completed him; she made him feel extremely happy. “Eeehh!? What about your ‘I love you too’, Vinasu?” teasing words slipped outside his lips easily, pecking a rosey-tinted cheek before permitting the femme to slip away from his grasp. Reluctantly.

Even so, that smile that adorned his face, usually, remained upon his features as a hand extended itself to run through his most precious’ locks a bit distracted; soft strands of hair that he liked. Because, let’s face it, he loved everything that was his Venus.

“Aaahhh, I brought you here to kidnap you and do inappropriate things to you where no one can see~.” Stated as his apparent response, having leaned closer so only she could listen to his words. Of course, they were followed by a soft laughter, and he stood straight, patting the hat that was back upon his head. “I called you here because I missed you - lunch sounded like the perfect excuse so… HOORAY FOR REI-CHAN~! Eeeeyaahh~~!”

and there went his happy-go-lucky-child-mode. Sigh. Regardless, he calmed down and smiled warmly, snatching up the lady’s hand to guide her toward the cafeteria. “Lunch IS a good idea, though, right?”
